What Is Estamos Muertos

Estamos Muertos, known internationally as All of Us Are Dead, is a South Korean zombie apocalypse series based on a popular webtoon. The story centers on students trapped inside a high school as a deadly virus turns people into the undead. It explores themes of survival, friendship, and moral conflict under extreme pressure.

The series gained worldwide attention for its raw emotional storytelling and intense action sequences. Unlike many zombie narratives, it focuses heavily on the psychological toll of survival. This makes it stand out as more than just a horror show — it is a deeply human story about resilience and loss.

How the Story Works and Why It Connects

The narrative follows a group of high school students who must survive a zombie outbreak that begins within their own school walls. Each character carries a distinct backstory, making their choices and sacrifices feel personal and meaningful to the audience. The pacing builds tension steadily, keeping viewers engaged from episode to episode.

What makes the show particularly effective is its layered approach to conflict. Students must not only fight the undead but also navigate bullying, authority, and betrayal among themselves. This social commentary adds a dimension that elevates the series beyond standard genre expectations and resonates with a broad global audience.
